(Missouri) – May 14, 2012 – While Ed Martin was at the Newton County Fairgrounds on Saturday listening to the concerns of local farmers about the Obama administration’s intrusive acts, Obama’s Lawyer Chris Koster was meeting with Democrat party insiders and attacking Ed Martin for running for Attorney General.

“When Chris Koster left the Republican party in 2007 to run for office in Obama’s Democrat party, he switched positions on the Second Amendment, life, illegal immigration and and he ultimately supported Barack Obama for president”, said Ed Martin. “As he attacks candidates for running for office, Koster himself is talking about his next race for Governor in 2016, even as he fails to answer Missourians’ questions on whether he supports Obama’s switch to support same-sex marriage. Politicians like Koster and his boss Obama will say anything to stay in power but Missourians want an AG who will stand up and fight against Obama and obamacare and give our state a brighter future.”

314-256-1776

Press@edmartinformissouri.com

(Missouri) – May 10, 2012 – As with the Obama administration takeover of health care, Republican Attorney General candidate Ed Martin stands strongly and publicly for Missourians and Missouri values for our constitutional definition of marriage in state and federal courts. In a statement yesterday, Ed Martin challenged Democratic incumbent Chris Koster to pledge the same, without lawyer talk or politically motivated evasions.

When Missouri’s values are under attack in a courtroom, Ed Martin will be there for Missourians, fighting for our rights and values, but Chris Koster hid from the ObamaCare legal fight. Now, Obama is promising to push same-sex marriage if re-elected. Does Chris Koster believe that marriage should be the union of one man and one woman, which is Missouri’s policy in our constitution? Will he promise to show up for work in court, instead of running away as he did on Government-directed health care?

Ed Martin stands with Missourians against the government takeover of health care. No Missourian may be compelled to buy health coverage they don’t want. However, ‘Obama’s Lawyer’ Koster stood with Obama and refused to join the lawsuits fighting Obamacare. He directed his staffers to write a meaningless and late-game legal brief in the case Missouri should have joined forcefully as soon as it was filed. Because Koster did not want to stand up to Obama, this crucial case is now before the highest court in land with Missouri left out of the fight. Koster ran from ObamaCare even though he knew that over 71% of Missourians voted in Aug 2010 to stop ObamaCare in Missouri.

As of yesterday, President Obama now favors same-sex marriage. This is a change for Obama, a flip-flop, and no spin that it is an “evolution” changes this. Today, as he has always believed, Ed Martin says marriage is between one man and one woman. And he will fight against activist state or federal judges who want to change marriage. Ed will fight the Obama administration as it, as in Obamacare, the EPA, NLRB, and on and on, tries to force its views on Missourians.

So, where is Chris Koster? Is ‘Obama’s Lawyer’ even shiftier than his client on traditional marriage? Koster was once for our definition of marriage. Is he “evolving”? Does Koster even know his position yet? Missourians deserve answers.

In North Carolina on Tuesday, citizens voted 62% in favor of protecting the sanctity of marriage. In 2004, over 70& of Missourians voted to do the same. So, here we go again just as in August 2010 when more than 70% of Missourians voted against ObamaCare. Koster knows where Missouri stands. Where does he stand?

Today, Ed Martin states again: he will stand up for Missourians and their values. Koster was absent in the fight against ObamaCare, will he continue to hide from the fight to protect marriage?

For more information on Chris Koster’s history of hiding when Missourians truly need someone representing their beliefs and values, please visit www.obamaslawyer.com.

I just said where I stand. Tell us where you stand.”

(Missouri) – May 8, 2012 – As the John Edwards trial reveals the gross underbelly of how trial lawyer candidates parse the law and mistreat staff and family, Obama’s Lawyer Chris Koster watches nervously. Koster shares the same high-powered D.C. consultant, Nick Baldick, who masterminded the 2004 Edwards Presidential campaign as well as running the Edwards 2008 presidential PAC that was at the heart of the Rielle Hunter scheme.

Obama’s Lawyer Koster has been under investigation for money-funneling in 2008, has been identified with running a fake candidate in the 2008 primary, and has retained a high powered St. Louis lawyer to deal with inquiries from the feds.

“For anyone familiar with Chris Koster’s road to the Attorney General’s office, the similarities between Koster and John Edwards should be obvious: both espouse principles of serving the poor and the working man but both live lives of wealth, privilege and shifting allegiance”, said Steve Michael, Campaign Manager for Ed Martin for Attorney General. “Missourians are tired of the politics of ‘say and do anything to get elected no matter who gets hurt’ and want an authentic leader to stand up and fight back when the federal government overreaches as in the case of Obamacare. Ed Martin is not afraid to say what he believes and to fight for what he believes is right. He does not hide behind slick DC consultants like the one pulling the strings of Chris Koster and John Edwards.”

Below is an excerpt from the book “The Politician” by Andrew Young, which provides some insight into Nick Baldick’s role in Edwards’ campaign cover up.

“A staffer who had developed deep suspicions about Rielle Hunter during the trip to Africa had taken his concern to Nick Baldick, who was still running operations for the senator. The aide, Josh Brumberger, was one of several people who had spoken to me about Rielle, but unlike the others, he wasn’t satisfied with my evasive reassurances. Soon after Brumberger talked to Nick, the senator brought him into the American Airlines Admirals Club at LaGuardia Airport and suggested he leave the Edwards team. Edwards made sure that Josh would remain discreet by arranging for him to have a job at Fortress Financial, but his dismissal sent a signal to everyone in the inner circle of the campaign.”

Press@edmartinformissouri.com

(Missouri) – April 23, 2012 – Two years ago today, Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona signed SB 1070, also known as the “Support our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act”, into law. The law cracks down on those aiding illegal immigrants but that is not why Eric Holder and the Obama administration want the law struck down.

SB 1070 gives state and local authorities the power to enforce federal immigration laws that are already in place due to the fact that the federal government has failed to enforce those laws. It may seem logical to most people that a state on Mexico’s border would fight for it’s sovereignty, however, the Obama Administration’s agenda is to continue the flow of power from state governments to the federal government, not the other way around..

Two days from now, the US Supreme Court will hear arguments on SB 1070 and whether or not Arizona and all other states have the authority to carry out federal law.

“Several states have joined this vital fight for state sovereignty with Governor Brewer and Arizona, and Missouri should have been there from the beginning”, said Martin. “This is an issues of control and where it lays, the individual states or the ever-expanding federal government. This is a fight that Missouri must join if we are to be on the right side of history, and if elected in November, I will stand with Arizona and stand up for the rights of Missouri citizens to protect their borders.”

Chris Koster has had two years to take up this challenge on Missouri’s behalf but finds himself once again representing President Obama over his own constituents. President Obama has threatened our freedoms since his first day in office by seizing control of our healthcare system, pushing our economy to the brink of collapse, and refusing to enforce immigration laws that are already in place.

Missourians can no longer afford an Attorney General that is willing to sit on the sidelines. With Ed Martin as our Attorney General, we will have a leader that is willing to stand with Governor Brewer and the state of Arizona in defense of state sovereignty.

(Missouri) – April 20, 2012 – Today, Ed Martin takes his push to stop the implementation of Obamacare in Missouri to the next level. The Ed Martin for Attorney General Campaign “Stop Obamacare” Ambulance will begin traveling around Missouri tomorrow morning to gather signatures for a petition to keep Obamacare out of Missouri.

The ambulance will make its first stop in West Plains Missouri and will be accompanied by former US Congressman Wendell Bailey. From there, it will head to Poplar Bluff where Eddy Justice will be there to greet those who wish to sign the petition. And Finally, the ambulance will stop in Dexter to meet Eheleen Montgomery for it’s final stop of the day.

“We are inviting citizens from across the state to come out to the ‘Stop Obamacare’ Ambulance Tour and sign the petition to stop the implementation of Obamacare here in Missouri”, said Martin. “The petition is meant to protect the rights of Missourians, something that Obama’s Lawyer, Chris Koster, seems to have no interest in doing. If the citizens of Missouri are to be sufficiently represented, Koster must be replaced with a tough, principled, fighter who will stand up for Missourians against Obamacare and corruption like what we’ve seen with Roger Wilson, Jay Nixon, the Missouri Democratic Party, and Chris Koster.”

The Ed Martin for Attorney General “Stop Obamacare” Ambulance will also travel to Charleton to ride in the Dogwood and Azaleas Festival Parade on Saturday morning before heading to Cape Girardeau at 3PM for Ed Martin’s Meet and Eat at Congresswoman JoAnn Emerson’s office. All press are encouraged to visit the stops as conservatives line up to take back their health care.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

314-256-1776

Press@edmartinformissouri.com

(Missouri) – April 17, 2012 – Today, Ed Martin filed a complaint against Jay Nixon and the other participants in the money-laundering scheme.

“With guilty pleas and confessed-to facts that show that Jay Nixon cronies were making secret deals to funnel money and hide the identity of donors in violation of state laws, Missourians want answers about who broke Missouri state laws and want the law-breakers held accountable”, said Ed Martin. “Whether due to his own legal problems in abiding by campaign finance laws or his unwillingness to cross his patron Nixon, Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster has refused to enforce the law and, in his place, I will act to protect Missourians.”

Click these links to see the ethics complaint and the cover letter for the complaint.

Last week, former Governor and St. Louis Attorney, Roger Wilson, pled guilty to a scheme of funneling money to the Missouri Democrat Party to benefit the Jay Nixon campaign. Part of the scheme included concealing the actual identity of the contributor, which may violate Missouri law.

More non-lawyers to have seats on the commission, diluting the influence of the bar on selecting nominees

Today, trial lawyers are busy populating the courts with left of center judges. This may be great for trial lawyers like Chris Koster but its bad for citizens who want to live under constitutional rule.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

314-256-1776

Press@edmartinformissouri.com

(Missouri) – April 11, 2012 – The Kansas City Star article today shows clearly that the Nixon administration is taking its lessons in corruption from the Obama administration where pay-to-play runs rampant.
Missourians might expect that their Attorney General would investigate this public corruption and stop it … unfortunately, AG Chris Koster, Obama’s Lawyer as much as Eric Holder, is part of the same pay to play scheme. Koster has received nearly $26,000 from Centene Corporation.

“Chris Koster’s corruption knows no bounds: he sells out Missourians to bottom-feeding trial lawyers, takes campaign cash to re-write the law to allow red-light cameras, and now is taking cash to look away as Jay Nixon gives his cronies the contract for Medicaid”, said Ed Martin. “He is living up to his nickname of Obama’s Lawyer using corrupt Chicago-style tactics but Missourians are sick of it and will send him and Nixon home in November.”

Koster’s latest tie to corruption comes on the heels of a sunshine request issued to shed light on his questionable hiring of Jimmy Hoffa’s daughter. Koster’s longtime campaign supporter, Barbara Crancer was paid $200,000 over two years to head the “Worker Rights” division that no longer exists and the AG’s website has no record of. This pattern of corruption has no place in Missouri politics.
